After a year of being under the helm of Roy Berrevoets, who announced that he would only guide the hoofdklasse team for one season, HCAW from Bussum has found a new manager.
The father of HCAW outfielder Roelie Henrique, Roeland Henrique sr stepped forward to become the manager of the team. Last season Henrique sr. already was assistent coach of the hoofdklasse team. Henrique sr, will start the 2017 season at the helm of the hoofdklasse team of HCAW.
In the past, Henrique sr, was assistant coach of L&D Amsterdam Pirates already (2013). Next to this he was active at all stages of the famous youth education system of the Amsterdam based club. From 2008 through 2011 he was third base coach for the club.
This year, Henrique sr was one of the coaches of the Dutch representative of the Europe/Africa region in the Big League World Series.
After one season, Roy Berrevoets steps back as manager of the hoofdklasse team of HCAW. In the recent past he has been the head coach of HCAW’s second team, called the reserve reserves. During his one year stint with the hoofdklasse team, Berrevoets remained head coach of the reserve reserves team.
Together with HCAW, the 58-year old Henrique will look how to fill in the spots of the coaching staff.
