A few minutes ago, the KNBSB (Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Federation) released a statement in which was announced that two more MLB players will be added to the Dutch roster for the upcoming World Baseball Classic.

Next to Andrelton Simmons, Xander Bogaerts, Jonathan Schoop and Rick van den Hurk, Jurickson Profar and Didi Gregorius have confirmed their participation.

The infield of team Kingdom of the Netherlands will probably play Xander Bogaerts at third base, Andrelton Simmons at shortstop, Didi Gregorius at second base and Jurcikson Profar at first base.

It will be the second time for Profar to participate in the World Baseball Classic. In 2013 he was added to the roster for the semi-final game vs the Dominican Republic. Team Kingdom of the Netherlands will field one of the most impressive infields of the WBC for sure.No automatic alt text available.
